About the Artist

My life's work has kept me busy as a biology teacher, but always yearning to be able to break away and fulfill my dream of  expanding my true love of painting.  After 33 years of teaching in Central Indiana, I am finally living my dream.

My son has shown me a deep insight about our connectivity to the past and how it relates to the future.  I try to reflect life's connectivity and continuity in my artwork.

Having dabbled in stained glass, stenciling and quilting, I find contentment in watercolors.   I am happiest painting people and portraits, but also enjoy combining my love of nature with the pallet.

I was born and raised in South Central Pennsylvania playing in the fields and forests.  Graduating from Lock Haven State University, my Masters was earned from Purdue University.

Memberships include the Plein Air Artists Society, the Indiana Watercolor Society, and the Central Indiana Artists Association.
